As Sayuri chan stays near Nagoya and we felt bad having her to travel for so far to visit us, we decided to drop by Nagoya to have a look at this city. The bus took 3hrs and scenery is beautiful, even at the toilet break place. :p
We reached Nagoya at 10:58(the bus really on time!) and Sayuri is waiting for us there. But hor, we got no idea whr to go in Nagoya.. Coz the castle, err seen Osaka one b4, so we decided to visit the Guangyin temple and the shopping street.
We went around eating snacks. I saw this interesting snack, bought to try. They put fried egg and sauce in between of 2 Ebi crackers.
I liked it!!! Xiao mei bought 2 mini Taiyaki(105 yen) and Sayuri bought a dough ball with red bean inside(I forgot the name, 120yen) :p. All Yummy!!
We had decided what to have for lunch! Kishimen! Its a Nagoya special which u will be able to try in Singapore's Waraku. But I think Japan nicer la... :p The noodle is not as thick as Udon. Sometig like our Ban men. XM tried but still preferred udon.. Haha.. We ordered the Veggies one(I tik 600 yen).
We walked around Nagoya city center before heading to Nagoya Hilton Hotel for Xmas Dessert Buffet!! Yuppie!!! Sayuri had made reservation for us hence its cheaper. I think its slightly more than 2000 yen per pax(coffee/tea not included, but juices yes). There were lots of choices!!!
Chocolate cake, browine, Strawberry cake, butter biscuits, cheese cake, fondue, etc etc. SLURPP!!! The only savory item they have is the Dim Sum. Its nicer than SG.. :P The skin is fine and smooth, the prawns are fresh!!!! errr the only -ve pt is.... No sweet chilli to go wif.. Hahaa.
BURPZZ! By the time we were done, was near 5pm. Theres one place I wanted to go in Nagoya. Its the Italy village.
A small village of Italian style. With river, boat rides, church, small bridges and statues.
Since its xmas time, theres lots of xmas lights up around.. Haha, we went round n round taking pixs..
Theres even pizza shop making pizza by the window.
Since this place is near the harbor, we went on to the harbor but its getting way too cold..... And on the way, Sayuri pointed us out to the stars in sky saying tts Orion stars sign. We had a hard time trying to understand what is Orion.. :p Now I know... It only appear during winter time and we could see it!!! Not jus once, a couple of times later in our trip!!!
Soon its time to say goodbye and headed to the station. Jus b4 we left for our bullet train journey back to Osaka, Sayuri brought us to see Xmas lights up at the station shopping hall. The theme on bears!! So cute!!!!!!
Time to say goodbye/nite. Sayuri headed home and we went to wait for our bullet train. B4 going back, I bought a Miso cutlet bento set. Sayuri said this is a special food in Nagoya and I must try. So I bought it back to the hotel for dinner/supper.
I cant believe the amount of food & choices they had in this bento. Theres rice, pork cutlet with Miso on top(this is wat is special), fish, egg, pasta!, veggies and pickles. And the price? SGD$10 only!!!! Its yummy and I think its worth it!!!
Our seat number? 13!! Just like our hotel room level. Hahaha...
We were really tired but cant sleep... I was waiting to go back to hotel to hug Sky Stage..
