Big issue VS mini micro issue?

So much happening in this world within a month. Natural disasters happened 1 after another.. People loosing their family, house, and everything they(used to) have.
Even those that managed to survive, are no better of. Tears of sadness and grief over the lost of the family members, lack of food, lack of medical supplies, lack of blankets, lack of a roof over their head make the surviving tougher than anything else.
As the things happened. I sat in front of the TV, watching the sad news. 1 after another:

- 100 were saved, but only 20 managed to survived.
- Only 1 in the whole family of 16 survived.
- 1 after another corpse were pull out.
- No food and drinks, survivors snatched whatever comes by.
- 3 hours journey, now will have to take 3 days to reach before even able to save anyone.
- Survived but have to face the harsh fact of loosing legs or hands.
- The shocked image and memories of quake/cyclone that will stay with them for life.
- A teacher lost his life in bid trying to save his students.

I dont know if we are being punished for over using the resources mother nature had given us and we had not given her somethg good back except for spoiling her beauty nature? Or its a cycle that the world has to go through every other run?
With so much happening now, the issues Im going through now seems so mini micro.
Petty, selfish, self centered, huge ego to fill, ugly human nature were(are) jus some of the ugly side Ive seen in the cooperate world.
All the relief effort thats currently carrying out by people from all over the place, ppl are helping with one another to save more life, ppl that had lost their love ones in the disaster yet put all aside and try to help to save other lives touches me alot, coz ppl are trying to help whichever way they can.
It makes me really wonder, wats with the cooperate world? Working for the same company, same dept, same goals, yet, cant cooperate with each other to produce the best results,and have to use magnifying glass to blow big the issue when its able to be easily solved. Arrow flying from the back 1 after another and have to be constantly keeping a watch on the bad.
But at the disaster relief sites, ppl from different walks of life, trying hard to help, the only thg they have to watch is, are there any more survivors.
I dont know how "clean" envt is at disaster relief site, but Im sure, its much more self-less than the ugly cooperate world.
I pray hard that those affected will be able to feel less painful and rest in peace for those whom death came upon to.
